For your convinience some of the values have been converted to international units (I.U.).

1. Total Vitamin-E:

This term represents the sum of Natural (innate) and Added (factory-made) vitamin E in Internation Units (I.U.). The innate (naturally found in the food) form of vttamin E is more potent than factory-made. For example, 100 IU of natural vitamin E is equal to about 150 IU of the factory-made form.

Natural Vitamin-E:

Natural vitamin E is made up from four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta). Although β, γ, and δ-tocopherol do not contribute to vitamin E activity (i.e. measurable International Units), they do play an import role in its metabolism.

Conversion factor for Natural vitamin E is 0.67:
1 IU of α-tocopherol = mg of the RRR-α-tocopherol compound / 0.67

Added Vitamin-E:

Factory-made vitamin E added to foods at the time of manufacture. For the majority of these food items, it is all-rac-α-tocopherol succinate or acetate derived synetically or isolated from natural sources.

Converstion factor for added vitamin E is 0.45:
1 IU of α-tocopherol = mg of the all rac-α-tocopherol compound / 0.45;

Please note that in some foods, the added vitamin E is derived from natural sources in the form pf RRR-alpha-tocopherol (formerly d-alpha-tocopherol). In these insances, the conversion factor as 0.67.

2. Total fat

"Total fat" (also known as crude fat) is not just Saturated, Monounsaturated, and Polyunsaturated fats, but also the the weight of all other lipid components that soluble in the solvent system.
